Terms and conditions.

1. Introduction

1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of canine training services ("Services") by Trained and Tamed Ltd, a limited company registered in the United Kingdom ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

1.2 By engaging in our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please carefully review these Terms before availing our Services.

2. Services Offered

2.1 Trained and Tamed Ltd provides professional dog training services, encompassing one-to-one sessions, group classes, and additional services introduced at our discretion.

2.2 Services are delivered in-person at the client's residence, public spaces, or authorised private venues.

3. Training Techniques and Dog Health

3.1 Trained and Tamed Ltd employs balanced training techniques, utilising all quadrants of operant conditioning tailored to the individual needs of each dog.

3.2 On occasion, specialised tools such as a "prong collar" or an "E-Collar" may be recommended. Trained and Tamed Ltd is well-versed in their safe and humane application.

3.3 If residing in Wales and the use of an "E-Collar" is advised, it is incumbent upon the client to disclose any legal constraints, as Trained and Tamed Ltd bears no responsibility for usage in contravention of local laws.

3.4 Motivational training methods, incorporating rewards like balls, food, or petting, are emphasised whenever feasible. However, practical considerations may necessitate alternative approaches.

4. Dog Health and Behaviour

4.1 Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and in good health to participate in sessions. Clients must notify Trained and Tamed Ltd of any health concerns before sessions.

4.2 Puppies may attend classes after their initial vaccination. The venue undergoes disinfection before and after each puppy class, and direct puppy-to-puppy interactions are restricted for health reasons.

4.3 Clients must disclose behavioural issues, including aggression, fear, or nervousness, before sessions are booked. Any history of biting must be communicated, and failure to do so may result in increased charges or session cancellation.

5. Client Responsibilities During Sessions

5.1 Clients are obliged to adhere to safety instructions, actively participate, and refrain from actions that could disrupt the session or class.

5.2 Clients assume responsibility for maintaining control over their dogs and acknowledge liability for any harm, damage, or illness arising from failure to do so, either to their dog or others.

5.3 Clients with dogs falling under the Dangerous Dog Act must comply with all relevant laws and regulations. Adherence to such legal obligations is solely the client's responsibility.

5.4 Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about their dog's behaviour, health, and any other pertinent details.

5.5 Compliance with instructions and recommendations provided by Trained and Tamed Ltd is mandatory for the successful implementation of the training program.

6. Session Duration and Frequency

6.1 Group sessions are one hour in duration. The initial one-to-one session, accommodating a consultation, extends to 1.5 hours, while subsequent one-to-one sessions are one hour.

6.2 A one-week interval between sessions is recommended to facilitate effective practice and habit formation.

7. Travel Expenses

7.1 Sessions conducted beyond the area specified on our website incur an additional 15% charge. No travel expenses apply if within the specified area.

8. Photography and Video Recording

8.1 Trained and Tamed Ltd or an authorised photographer may capture photographs or videos during sessions. Clients wishing to abstain from being photographed should notify Trained and Tamed Ltd before the session.

9. Continued Training and Client Responsibilities Post-Session

9.1 Clients are expected to diligently continue training at home and in various environments. Ongoing training is fundamental to achieving positive outcomes and is the client's responsibility.

9.2 Post-session, clients are advised to restrict their dogs from greetings and off-lead play with other clients dogs.

10. Payment and Cancellation Policy

10.1 Full payment must be settled before the initial session, either through bank transfer or in cash during the first session.

10.2 Sessions may be rescheduled twice with 48hrs notice, after which any further adjustments will be treated as cancellations, with associated fees.

10.3 Refunds are not applicable for cancellations post-payment.
